Description

A huipil in collaboration with textile artist Moises Martinez Velasco, made in Oaxaca from silk that crossed international borders with an embroidered message of “Where is Home?”, referencing the transfer and uprooted notion of people who have historical ties with their land. This work is to process and to question what home is and how most of the people who are displaced grapple with the thought of trying to find a place to claim as a home to set roots.
