Tour of Asolo and Montello Wineries - Tenuta Baron

Between July and August, it’s been organized an itinerant exhibition in the middle of Asolo and Montello hills. This fascinating initiative combines contemporary art with vinery tradition, creating a magical combination which conquers senses and soul of any participant with beautiful dates organized by MoCA Association, Arte Laguna Prize and the collaboration with Strada del vino Asolo e Montello (a tour of Asolo and Montello wineries).
“Pozas in the vineyards” it’s not only an artistic event, but an emotional journey with four wineries that has welcomed over 40 works realized by the cuban artist Pozas, best-seller artist of Arte Laguna Prize 17th edition.

Tenuta Baron was founded by Domenico “Nico” Baron who bought Villa Persicini in the 70s. In the territory of the villa there was an ancient winery which has to be completely restored, and now, thanks to the founder, the villa has found its former glory and the vineyard has become the hub of the production of Baron wine.

About the Artist

Self-taught painter. After finishing his higher studies in Electrical Engineering, he decides to leave his job and dedicate himself entirely to painting. His work is part of three tendencies, from the abstract as a search for his deepest self, the landscape as an expression of his relationship with nature, and psychic structuralism as a link with perceived reality. In the most recent works the figure of the human being disappears but he relates the psyche to the ingredients of the most elemental reality.

Tenuta Amadio was born with the noble intention of his first founder, Amadio Rech, who started to cultivate a piece of land in Asolo. Today the estate has 3 vineyards from which 3 different types of wine are obtained, that reflect the variety of the territory.

Sustainable agriculture is practiced in the vineyard, because it is important to preserve the land in order to be able to give it fertile to subsequent generations, just as Silvia and Simone, the second generation of Rech, inherited it. The excellence of the grapes is preserved in the processes in the cellar, where they are used almost exclusively from our land.

In the heart of the city of Venice there is an amazing exhibition space where artists can choose to show their best works in one of the most important cities in the world. Spazio San Luca has welcomed Sjoerd Bras during July and August, with his best and famous works.

The inauguration evening was on the 6th of July and the artist gained great visibility. The main work was “The Deer”, representing the delicate animal in a soft and beautiful dream.

About the Artist

His work can be called figurative, looking for a world behind reality, the intangible. To the life behind the curtain that you have no control over. In his words: “While painting I come across things that lift a veil but still remain elusive. It can be of all times, present, past, but also the world different from ours. Color is important, for me color has an emotional value, it determines the path your feeling takes. My paintings are often large in size, I also feel in my element on a small size. Lately I’ve been using stones in my paintings. This is the result of my fascination with stones that I found on the heath.”
