Description

The piece, is of three components: video, data, and light installations. The voice-over is a legend about why Taiwan’s indigenous peoples came to the island. In this work, I aimed to reflect the narrative through data and lighting installations. By capturing real-time wind data from the story’s mountain and integrating it into the video through programming, I tried to establish a connection with that place and evoke the presence of the imperceptible, much like the air. The lighting installation in the video is a composite symbolizing betel nuts and mythical monsters. Its green light may induce visual hallucinations, allowing viewers to see a nonexistent magenta color. The “temporary space”.
