Prize of 5000 € for the winning proposal + residence at the guesthouse of Roberto Cipresso’s Winery for the realization of the work. Construction costs are borne by the company.
Participation requires the presentation of site-specific works to be installed in the square of the cellar. The proposals presented must be visible from the street, they must enhance the company’s attention to the art and art of making wine, the environment, ethics and must represent the intuition behind Roberto Cipresso’s research: The Squaring of Circle (mathematics shows that the area of a square can never be equal to that of a circle because of the Pi that is an irrational number, but philosophy has always sought another possible reading of everything. A great wine cannot be made with the only “mathematics”, it takes an interpretation, a philosophy, a momentum, a little madness).

In addition to the winning proposal, it will be taken into account further works to be installed in the hill where the Casale stands or in the internal spaces of the Cellar. Preference will be given to proposals that provide the reuse of recycled materials such as woods, stones, stones, logs and what can be found in nature. The only foreign element may be rusty iron. In a certain sense the idea is that instead of hiding the stones that emerge from the processing of the vineyard they find a new life thanks to art. The artwork realized during the residency will remain the property of the Winery.

Art that can also suggest a vision of the future capable of stimulating deep reflections in individuals. Water is one of the various assets to be safeguarded because Generali has always been linked to the city of Venice, the aquatic city par excellence with an important link with this vital element.
