Last weeks to apply to the 13th edition of Arte Laguna Prize - Deadline December 19th 2018

There is time until December 19th to apply to the thirteenth edition of Arte Laguna Prize, the international contemporary art competition that counts every year thousands of submissions from artists from all over the world. In addition to the cash prizes for the winners of the different sections, the stakes for the finalists are high: the selected works will be exhibited in March in the evocative spaces of the Arsenale of Venice.

The Prize has obtained a medal from the President of the Italian Republic and the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Cultural Heritagel, the Veneto Region, the Municipality of Venice, Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the European Institute of Design. This year it counts ten categories: design, painting, sculpture and installation, virtual art, photographic art, digital graphics, video art and short films, performance, urban art, land art.

Arte Laguna Prize promotes the reuse and sustainability of plastic materials together with Corepla Consortium and Ca' Foscari University of Venice

Together to award sustainable, original and creative art, this is the aim of the synergy born among Arte Laguna Prize, Corepla (National Consortium for the Collection and Recycling of Plastic packages) and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, through the Ca’ Foscari sostenibile program.

Since 2015 Arte Laguna Prize has created a special section dedicated to Art and Sustainability promoting a sensitization of the artistic gesture, of creativity, of design and in general of the visual and performing arts towards the Reuse Recycle Reduce strategies. The Prize receives the moral patronage of the Ministry for the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea.

Entries are open for the 13th edition of Arte Laguna Prize

The jury has been announced and among this year's news there is a section dedicated to design

VENICE, 7th SEPTEMBER 2018 - Arte Laguna Prize has been promoting contemporary art for thirteen years, collecting thousands of applications from artists from all over the world, selected by a jury of excellence for the great exhibition in March in the evocative spaces of the Arsenale of Venice.

The Prize has obtained a medal from the President of the Italian Republic and the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Cultural Heritagel, the Veneto Region, the Municipality of Venice, Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the European Institute of Design among others. This year it opens its doors to design, dedicating to it a new important section.
This change, strongly endorsed by the prize management, “is the natural continuation of the growth of Arte Laguna Prize and the expression of the blurred boundaries between design and art that we have been observing for a long time” states Laura Gallon, one of the founders.
