THE WINNERS OF SPECIAL PRIZES 2025
Arte Laguna Prize announces the artists awarded by the Partners of the 20th edition
Venice, December 2025 – On the occasion of its twentieth anniversary, Arte Laguna Prize—long committed to the field of International Contemporary Art—has pursued the goal of expanding its Network of partners by establishing new Special Prizes designed to support emerging artists and foster fresh interactions among curators, entrepreneurs, artists, and enthusiasts.
The Special Prizes are collaborations developed with a wide range of partners from around the world—museums, galleries, and entrepreneurs—who believe in emerging talent and offer awards such as prizes for the best creative idea for a new product or piece of furniture, for an advertising campaign or a video project. Others provide artistic residencies, solo and group exhibitions, or specialized training experiences such as working with glass, ceramics, or textiles. Some partners offer cash prizes that help artists purchase materials and give new momentum to their careers.
Particularly noteworthy are the variety and diversity of these new awards: not only artistic residencies and gallery collaborations, but also companies and entrepreneurial ventures that—although not directly linked to the art world—have chosen to get involved to support artists and emerging culture, discovering new talent before anyone else.
A total of 13 Special Prizes have been assigned, involving partners from 8 different countries. Six of this year’s partners are organizations not traditionally connected to the art sector, yet they have enthusiastically embraced the initiative because they believe in the value of art as a universal language. Each prize received more than a hundred project submissions tailored to the proposed theme, spanning painting, installation, digital works, and performance—each offering an innovative and unexpected interpretation of the brief. Examples include Ventana, which sought a digital artist to create a work to be displayed on the large screens the company produces; Ghisolana winery, which looked for an artistic label for its Prosecco; and Asem, which believes that even an artist working in Mozambique can bring meaningful added value to the local community.
