The school of Art and Restoration
Today the global art system scenario includes a growing number of physical and virtual places and offers a wide range of opportunities to develop cultural projects.

With the aim of providing students with the skills, experience and contacts necessary to satisfy the demand for highly specialized professionals in the cultural market, the academic offer of the IED group (IED and Accademia Aldo Galli – Como) in the field of art covers three main areas:

  • artistic creation
  • curatorship and artistic-cultural management
  • conservation and restoration

The themes of the artistic production of the IED group are mainly entrusted to the academic offer of the Aldo Galli Academy of Fine Arts in Como through a three-year course in Painting and Visual Languages and a two-year Master of Arts course in Painting and Digital Arts as well as dedicated courses , both in Como and in the other cities of the IED group in Italy and Spain: in particular, the First Level Master in Visual Arts for the Digital Age at IED Milano.

The professional figures collateral to those of the artist who accompany, guide and complete the complex machine of the art system were examined by IED in the “NOT AN ARTIST” research project with the aim of constantly updating the academic offer and the teaching staff of IED and Accademia Galli for a training experience as targeted as possible to all those who intend to pursue a career in the artistic and cultural field.

Finally, the Academy is entrusted with the academic offer in conservation and restoration.

Motivation

Ricardo Aleodor Venturi’s work blends an implicit poeticism of an almost literary flavor with cues that refer to typical experiences of Dada culture, such as the use of the ready-made. Note, finally, a direct reference to the work of Apulian artist Pino Pascali and a reworking of the latter’s lesson in a contemporary key.
