Assarredo is the national association of FederlegnoArredo that represents over 650 manufacturing companies, divided into 5 category groups: furniture, upholstery, kitchens, furnishing accessories, sleeping systems. Every initiative undertaken by Assarredo tends to defend, elevate and develop the represented productive category, increasing vitality and prestige.
Established in 1979, Assarredo has the task of representing, assisting and protecting Italian companies in the furnishing sector, promoting their interests locally, nationally and internationally.
It also supports, stimulates and favors the associates to consolidate and increase the leadership of the Italian furniture sector on world markets, defending the culture of know-how and promoting the Italian style of living.
“Giving voice to art and its expressions is fundamental. It allows us to maintain a link with our cultural roots, to which art draws, and helps us to build a bridge to the future, thanks to the work of young artists who propose new languages. Through the collaboration with MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art) in Venice, we want to support artistic projects capable of enhancing culture and design.
“Art and design are related disciplines, which enrich each other through the exchange of creativity, professionalism, experimentation and techniques. Assarredo represents a significant part of the Italian Furnishing System and we believe it is important for us to be part of Arte Laguna Prize, which, within the Design section, involves international artists to promote and enhance the artistic creativity applied to furniture.”
Claudio Feltrin, President of Assarredo
