Donatella Nobilio | Designing a new texture for Planium

Planium was born with the intention of proposing emotional surfaces, unique in their kind, made of natural materials, recyclable, with attractive aesthetics and performance characteristics.

The distinguishing character of Planium is the use of metal in all its forms, applied to objects of industrial and custom design. The skilful use of this material allows the designers of Planium to create new textures combining the strength and durability of the metal to the aesthetic innovation of the world of design, managing to transfer these values in the products they produce.

« I find it difficult to describe myself; “self-producer” is maybe the closest term to tell what I do» says the artist about herself. Donatella Nobilio attends the Technical Institute of Art in Monza and the school of illustration in Milan. She then began to deal with interior design, and it was from this job that the desire to experiment with his creativity was born. She resumed his artistic studies, perfected various techniques and began to paint on any surface suitable for painting, always creating unique articles.
« Now I have reached the third stage, which I consider the essence of my professional and above all personal path. The search for happiness is the path I have taken and for me is equivalent to freedom of expression through my art, without conditioning or stereotypes. My paintings depict my path of change;»

Donatella Nobilio emerges thanks to her innate creativity, which inevitably led her to earn the victory of this Special Award for the Business for Art category.

Planium designed a new low table using the texture created by Donatella Nobilio. The product was presentated at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2023 in Milan and at the Planium’s Fuorisalone event.
