Description
The Hotel is part of a video project that includes five video installations, shot between 2017 and 2019 between Sicily and Tunisia. The project tries to reflect on the delicate relational dynamics between different cultures. The film is a daily cross-section shot during the hospitality that was offered to me by a group of Moroccan, Tunisian, Libyan and Algerian guys I met during one of my trips to Sicily to a Photo and Video project about clandestine immigration and agromafia between ITALY and the North Africa. I’m trying to build a poetics in which Art and Imagination can come into direct contact with our daily life and with the social devices that inevitably condition and define us.
