Description

O FUTURO É ANCESTRAL is a performance by French performers and choreographers Christophe Béranger and Jonathan Pranlas-Descours in collaboration with Fabio DaMotta, visual artist and photographer from Brazil. A human message to lift our mountains again and again, to build and rebuild, the colossi with feet of clay, vulnerable but powerful, builders of tomorrow, to reinvent the link, to show the strength of those who unite, all of us, the peoples of yesterday, today and tomorrow… O FUTURO E ANCESTRAL is a result of a research program, laureate of the first edition of the “Cruzamentos” 2022 program. Supported within the framework of “La Fabrique des Résidences” of the French Institute, the program “Cruzamentos” is Villa Tijuca’s first residency program. Dedicated to the “performing arts”, it is the result of a twinning between the network of Alliances Françaises of Brazil with Chaillot -Théâtre national de la Danse (Paris, France)and MC2: Maison de la Culture de Grenoble (Grenoble, France) in cooperation with Funarte (Brazil).
