Anthony Flowish | Photo exhibition at Palazzo Valmarana Braga

Anthony Flowish (Antonio Fascicolo), winner of the Special Prize Art Residency wtih Palazzo Valmarana Braga, has created a photography exhibition called “Dialoghi tra Uomo e Architettura”, which aims to rediscover the hidden gems and the beauty of the Palladian architectures in Vicenza.

Anthony Flowish (alias for Antonio Fascicolo) is a visual narrative that can transform the ordinary into extraordinary. With a fresh and innovative approach, his artworks are centered on the movement of urban life, exploring the human dynamics through the lens of “Progetto Flow” (Project Flow).

The Flow Project was born from a deep reflection of the caos and the hidden beauty of the city. Using experimental photography techniques, Flowish captures what the eye is missing: trails of life, fragments of energy, stories that flow in the streets and heart of the people. His pictures, created without digital interventions, show the movement with a unique purity, transforming everyday life scenes in vibrant and poetic artworks.

A Contemporary Glance
Flowish doesn’t stop at the reality photos: he interprets and redefines them. Every pic is an invitation to slow down and observe the flow of life that often overwhelms us. With his photographs, the artist takes us on a visual and intimate journey, where times dilutes and emotions emerge.

A Global Vision
Starting from his natal city, Bari, Flowish overcomes geographical and cultural limits, capturing cities from all over the world. From the vivid Italian squares, to the pulsating streets overseas, the project reflects a rich and constant research on the complexity of human relationships and the tension between quiet and movement.

Art Without Time

The photographic project, created during the artist residency as part of the Arte Laguna Prize program at Palazzo Valmarana Braga, stems from artist Antonio Fascicolo’s (Anthony Flowish) desire to narrate the hidden vitality of Palladian Architecture in the historic center of Vicenza.
The walls are not merely witnesses of the past but come alive through the stories and passions of those who have cherished and preserved them, such as Francesca Braga Rosa, who with dedication continues the mission started by her father, Vittor Luigi.

Francesca’s story deeply influenced the artist’s work, allowing him to perceive the walls of the historic center not as mere static surfaces but as witnesses to lives gone by. In the alleys and squares, the artist let himself be carried away by imaginary flashbacks, reliving fragments of a past intertwined with the present.

This photographic project blends Architecture with human presence. The images feature people in motion, utilizing the blur technique. The timeless stillness of the buildings contrasts with the frenzy of modern life, highlighting how much our way of living and perceiving time has changed.

As in the Flow Project, the artist seeks to slow the pace to capture the essence of every moment. Through the blur, he invites the viewer to pause, rediscover the beauty of small things, and be permeated by the positive energy that flows through life.
