CHRIS BAYLEY
UNITED KINGDOM – CURATOR AT SERPENTINE GALLERY

Chris Bayley is a curator and writer based in London, UK. He is currently Associate Exhibitions Curator at Serpentine where he has worked on exhibitions and accompanying publications including Judy Chicago: Revelations (2024); Tomás Saraceno: Web(s) of Life (2023); and Barbara Chase-Riboud: Infinite Folds (2022). Previously he was Assistant Curator at Barbican, where he worked on Carolee Schneemann: Body Politics (September 2022); Shilpa Gupta: Sun at Night (2021); Claudia Andujar: The Yanomami Struggle (2021); Masculinities: Liberation through Photography (2020); Yto Barrada: Agadir; and Modern Couples: Art, Intimacy and the Avant-Garde (both 2018), authoring and editing publications for many of these projects. He is also Associate Curator at VITRINE, London, and has worked on exhibitions with artists such as Leah Clements and Kate Cooper, among many others.

Luca Borriello | Juror of Arte Laguna Prize

LUCA BORRIELLO
ITALY – DIRECTOR OF INWARD NATIONAL OBSERVATORY ON URBAN CREATIVITY

Trained in Cultural Anthropology and Contemporary Art History, he holds a PhD in Knowledge and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage. After teaching for years in academia, first and foremost in the field of Social Sciences and Communication, he integrates his professional career as a manager of nonprofit organizations and consultant for public and private entities, especially in the areas of culture and urban creativity. In the latter area, he is director of INWARD National Observatory on Urban Creativity. He coordinates or has coordinated the first national thematic scientific research and international event “Pioneers of Urban Creativity” for the Ministry of Culture, the special consultancy for 93 public entities of the Apulia Region in application of the first regional law on street art, the first National Technical Table on Urban Creativity for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers at CNEL, the first Urban Creativity Expert Table for ANCI and ANG, the States General of Urban Creativity for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the first Study Center on Urban Creativity established at Sapienza University and now at Suor Orsola Benincasa University in Naples, the Territorial Center for Urban Creativity CUNTO with the Vodafone Foundation, the first national network of ACU Associations for Urban Creativity and Oculus, the first national training for urban creativity practitioners.

Chiara Canali | Juror of Arte Laguna Prize

CHIARA CANALI
ITALY – ART CRITIC, JOURNALIST, INDEPENDENT CURATOR

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in “Human Sciences” at the University of Perugia, she is author of the book “Techno-sociality. Participation and interactivity in contemporary art” (Postmediabooks, Milan 2020).
A creator and promoter of artistic events and cultural initiatives, in her critical career she has paid special attention to New Media and digital and interactive technologies. Since the beginning of her professional activity she has held management and coordination positions, gaining considerable experience in the conception and curatorship of public and institutional projects and exhibitions, collaborating with Museums, Municipalities, Foundations, Festivals, public and private entities.
Since 2006 she has been among the curator-tutors of the Artivisive San Fedele Prize, promoted by the San Fedele Cultural Foundation. From 2012 to 2019 she was artistic director of StreetScape, Street Art & Urban Art, in Como. Since 2016, she has been artistic director and curator of the Parma 360 Festival of Contemporary Creativity in Parma.
She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the PRISMA Research Center, Polo di Ricerca per gli Studi Museali Accademici at eCampus University. She teaches Contemporary Art History at eCampus University and the Academy of Luxury in Milan.

Claudia Segura Campinis | Juror of Arte Laguna Prize

CLAUDIA SEGURA CAMPINS
SPAIN – CURATOR OF EXHIBITIONS AND COLLECTIONS AT MACBA

Claudia Segura Campins (Barcelona, 1984) is a curator and cultural producer based in Barcelona where she is since 2019 Curator of Exhibitions and Collection at MACBA, Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona. She has curated some of the presentations of MACBA Collection as well as some temporary exhibition such as the first retrospective of María Teresa Hincapié, a Colombian performer, which involved a deep research on her archive. She holds a BA from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, and an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths University, London. She was Director and Chief Curator of NC-arte in Bogotá, Colombia (2015-2019), where she curated several exhibitions and site-specific projects by different artists (Luis Camnitzer, Los Carpinteros, Nicolás Consuegra, Xavier Le Roy, Alia Farid, Rivane Neuenschwander, Nicolás Paris, Amalia Pica, among others). She was coordinator of cultural initiatives at the Fundació ”la Caixa”, Barcelona (2010-2012); an external curator of the Mardin Biennial, Turkey (2014-2015); and mentor of the Sala d’Art Jove, Barcelona (2014), and at the Cano Laboratory at the Art Museum of the National University of Colombia (2018). In addition, she has been a visiting lecturer at the National University of the Andes, Bogotá (2017).Segura has curated and co-curated projects including To be known as Infinite: María José Arjona, MAMBO, Bogotá (2018); Here the border is you, ProyectosLA, Los Angeles (2017); Límites Nómadas, Biennial of the Borders of Mexico (2015); Fifty (Pipilotti Rist) from Han Nefkens H+F Collection, Collectorspace, Istanbul (2014); Copy/Paste – Recodifying the gesture, Instituto Cervantes, London; Like Tears in Rain, Palace of the Arts, Porto; and Producing Urban Order, Goldsmiths University, London (2008). She was editorial coordinator of Florae 2015 magazine of Flora ars + natura, Bogotá, and writes regularly for diverse specialized arts platforms. Segura is part of various research platforms such as De vuelta y vuelta and Para abrir boca.

HYUNJIN KIM
SOUTH KOREA – INDEPENDENT CURATOR AND WRITER

Hyunjin Kim is a curator and writer in Seoul. Kim has worked independently on her own curatorial projects as well as held various positions, including Artistic Director of the Incheon Art Platform (2021), Director of Arko Art Center, Seoul (2014–15), and co-curator of the 7th Gwangju Biennale (2008). As the Lead Curator for Asia at KADIST(2018-2020), Kim curated her three-year regional program and the touring exhibition Frequencies of Tradition. At the 58th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia in 2019, she curated History Has Failed Us, but No Matter for the Korean Pavilion exhibition. Her numerous exhibition includes 2 or 3 Tiger  (HKW, Berlin, 2017), Two Hours (Tina Kim Gallery, NY), Plug-In #3: Undeclared Crowd (Van abbemuseum, Eindhoven) and Kim has curated and written about artists such as siren eun young jung, Jane Jin Kaisen, Park Chan-kyong, Chung Seoyoung, Nina Canell, Hwayeon Nam, Haegue Yang, Jewyo Rhii, Runo Lagomarsino and Zinny Maidagan, among others. She was a member of the advisory board for Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin (2014–16) and a jury member for the DAAD Berlin artists-in-residence program (2017–18).

ADAM KLEINMAN
NORWAY – DIRECTOR OF KUNSTHALL TRONDHEIM

Adam Kleinman is dedicated to curating exhibitions, programs, and events that inspire trust and mutual understanding through the presentation of art reflecting the daily realities and lived experiences of both individuals and communities. His aim is to cultivate diverse avenues of access and enhance the joy of everyday life by bringing people together to share relevant ideas articulated with power. Previously, he held positions such as Lead Curator for North America at KADIST, Editor-in-chief and Curator at (FKA) Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, and Agent for Public Programming at dOCUMENTA (13). Currently, as the Director of Kunsthall Trondheim, he continues his mission to foster meaningful engagement with the arts.

ABDULLAH SALEH YASEEN ALI
KUWAIT – MANAGER AND CURATOR OF PUBLIC ART PROJECTS AT THE NCCAL

Abdullah Ali is an architect based in Kuwait working at the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature (NCCAL) since 2016. Initially, he was a part of the historical preservation and restoration department working on revitalization projects listed under UNESCO World Heritage such as the Al-Sadri Hospital and Khazaal Palace in Kuwait City.  However, since 2021 he has been managing and curating public art projects at the NCCAL such as the suburban mural gallery in Al-Masayel where artists along with the local community transform the suburbia into an open art gallery. This event is a part of the annual Al-Qurain Cultural Festival which the NCCAL hosts during the winter time with a diversity of cultural events. He also recently facilitated the revival of a mural on one of the main streets of Kuwait City named ‘Al-Qissa’. Abdullah also curated and edited a Kuwait-based art publication named Artshot Magazine during 2013 to 2014. With these experiences under his belt, and more projects to come along the way, Abdullah hopes to expand and further his career in curation and public art project management not only in the region but internationally as well.
